Cuyahoga County Municipal Energy Program
As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Cuyahoga County Board of County Commissioners received an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for improving energy efficiency and energy conservation of public buildings in Cuyahoga County.
In total, the County Commissioners were allocated $5.7 million. Of that amount, the Commissioners designated $3 million for energy efficiency audits and projects to implement energy efficiency measures in eligible suburban Cuyahoga County cities, villages and townships.
